Oh Hello! August 7th, I began my journey from Saint Louis, MO to Lake Buena Vista, FL. I am spending 5 months here in the Sunshine State to work at Walt Disney World! I'm a part of the DCP (the Disney College Program), which is a wonderful internship-type opportunity for the college-aged to Live, Learn and Earn at the Most Magical Place on Earth (and, of course, the Place Where Dreams Come True!!!). I am so excited to get to work for the big Mouse himself, enjoy the sun for a few extra months than I would in MO, and of course, play at WDW! If you have any questions about the DCP, definitely feel free to shoot them my way, I would love to chat more about it! Here are some pictures from the drive down. My dad came with to help me move, which I am very thankful for. It was a LOT of driving, but we managed to do it in two days. The first day, we left StL at 7:30ish a.m. CST and made it all the way to Gainesville, FL around 11:30ish p.m. EST. Unfortunately, we missed my two favorite stops; Lane Orchards (peaches for days. yumm yumm yumm!) ((the pecans are pretty stellar as well)) and the Florida Welcome Center (free OJ!!).
Here We GO: (Leaving StL/last time hanging out with family friends before I left)
^ What an awesome, cute kid. I love him!
Day 2! We drove from Gainesville, FL, over the Sunshine Skyway and to Grandma and Grandpa's (over the bridge and through the swamp to Grandmother's house we go... wait...)
house in Venice, FL!
Of course I requested to go see the Sunset on the Beach from the Venice Jetty. It's so very pretty there!!
If you have never seen the sunset on the beach, it is unlike any other sunset. The sun literally melts into the water. It goes from a circle shape, to a deflated ball shape, then to almost a flat tire shape. The last shape is like a flat oval on bottom parallel to the water with the remaining bit of the sun still in a circle form on top. It's a beautiful thing to witness. Do go sometime, you'll see.
See That? That is the face of a girl who just witnessed one of her favorite things *cue music from Sound of Music* Have a Magical Day! See Ya' Real Soon!!
