Magical Moments 1

Hello Hello!
One of the biggest perks of working here at my attraction (Disney's Phineas and Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure at EPCOT) is that I am always interacting with the guests! That means that I am, at any time, subject to a Magical Moment! Here are a few of the Magical Moment interactions I have experienced these first few weeks! Hopefully, once I get used to blogging, I will be posting these as separate posts so they aren't quite so long of posts!

At Agent P, we are also tasked with PAC during Illuminations every night. Illuminations is the nightly fireworks show that takes place over the World Showcase Lagoon (and Yes, it's every night. Even if it's raining. It has only ever been cancelled for high intensity winds and lightening. Anything less than that, and the show will go on!) PAC stands for Parade Audience Control, but during Illuminations, PAC are the people who stand at the entrance to the wheelchair viewing areas and let people in and out of the ropes. Twice so far, this has been where my magical moments have taken place.

--One of my first nights doing PAC, I had a family come in super early. The show starts at 9, but they were ready at 7:30! ( I can't let them in the ropes until 8, so we had some time to chat first haha) We got to talking about their vacation, the DCP, Truman, my majors, the parks they have visited, the rides they've experienced and so much else. It turns out this was their first time seeing Illuminations in close to 20 years. The Grandparents have been visiting for years, but when they take the grandkids, it was more fun for them to go to the Magic Kingdom while they were young. Now that the grandkids have grown up a little, they were at EPCOT for the day. It was a darling conversation and I really appreciated them and their kindness at my PAC. After the show, they all came up to me, tears in their eyes and thanked me for letting them watch the show. It was a really magical moment for me to be able to help them out and to see how much they enjoyed the show. I also got hugs from the Grandparents. It was a really sweet moment. I love my job :)

-- More recently, I had a family come up to my PAC with both a FastPass+ selection for Illuminations and a wheelchair. They had so many choices for where to watch the show! It turned out that they decided to join me for the show. It was a lot of fun. I have never seen two little boys with so much energy! I learned so much about Transformers and Pirates of the Caribbean and learned new dance moves from the little brother! They were a delight to hang out with before the show. Afterwards, the two little brothers gave me hugs before they went home for the night. It was fascinating to watch their energy for almost an hour before the show, but they were able to sit still and enjoy the show once it started.

My last Moment for this post happened yesterday. It was so PERFECT! I am still a little overwhelmed from it. I met Peter Pan! He was a guest in the park, maybe 7 or 8 and adorable. I saw him walking past the Odyssey cart, and just had to meet him. I walked up and knelt down and asked him,  "Are you really Peter Pan?" He responded in the affirmative and I looked at his mom and asked if I could have a hug! I told them how Peter is my favorite character ever and was so very excited to meet him. The little boy's eyes lit up and he just went all out to be Peter Pan for me. He told me how they had just come from Morocco and meeting Aladdin and Jasmine and he showed me the Genie Lamp he had as a souvenir. He asked if I would like to see if I could summon the Genie. Of course I said yes and he handed me the lamp. As I rubbed the side of the lamp, eyes closed and wishing with all my might, he took his Peter Pan plush doll out of the bag he was holding and declared, "Ta Da!" It was a truly wonderful encounter. I am still super excited that I was able to experience that moment with our guest Peter Pan yesterday. His mom took my picture with him, and they continued out of the park, but that was definitely one of my favorite moments I have experienced here at Walt Disney World. I love my job.

That's all I have for you for now! Have a Magical Day! See Ya' Real Soon!
