Our Attractions Manager for the night just called that over the radio. I'm not even that emotionally connected to the ride and that was a poignant call. It's official, my friends, Maelstrom is now closed until (as far as I know) 2016. When it re-opens, it will be a new Frozen ride. Maelstrom was a pretty cool ride, pun intended. It was a slow moving boat ride inside around what they told us was some Norway heritage. It'll be weird that it's gone but I'm glad I got the chance to ride it. I look forward to seeing what Frozen will bring to Norway.
Today has been a busy day for me. This morning I was writing my essay for Experiential Learning. It's a Comparative Analysis paper about my life and the life of Michael J Fox. He wrote a book (actually, he has written 3, but I only read one) and now I'm comparing three of five topics brought up by my teacher to my own life. So that should be fun.
I also got my syllabus for my Truman scholarship credit. That was a little stressful, but now I know what I'm doing! It will be an analysis of Frozen compared to the original "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen. Sounds like fun!
The weather was beautiful today though! It was incredible. Actually, it was almost a little cold by the end of park clearing which was surprising for Florida. I wore pants of the first time as part of my uniform today. It didn't help the bug bites-- I still got one. I'm a little irritated but it's better than having too many more! :) The weather was really really great though. I'm supremely impressed.
PAC was fun tonight. I had some great people come up to my ropes tonight. I had a wonderful couple of kids help me blow out the fire before the show. I also had a couple of UCF students come up and talk to me about their school and their football teams. It was adorable. Park Clear was fun too. One of the security guards stayed with us for part of it and that was a huge help.
That's my update for today! I am going to go back to writing that essay for EL so I can work on Truman's stuff as well. Mom is coming soon! So excited! Look for updates about that starting Thursday or maybe later. I might just wait to update until after the visit.
Good Night! See You Real Soon! Have a Magical Day!
